This Privacy Policy explains how HomeTrust App LLC ("HomeTrust," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use hometrust.app and related services (the "Platform"). It applies to Homeowners, Businesses, and visitors.
Account information. Name, email, phone number, password (hashed), role (Homeowner or Business), and language preference.
Homeowner profile and home information. Address and details about your home(s), maintenance history, service history, warranties, and documents you upload (e.g., home warranty documents), which you provide to use features like the maintenance checklist, service history, and quote requests.
Business profile and credentials. Business name, service categories, service area, pricing information, license and insurance documentation submitted for verification, photos, and other profile content.
Content you submit. Reviews, messages sent through the Platform, quote requests, estimates, support tickets, site feedback, and reported content.
Payment and billing information. For Business subscriptions, billing information is collected and processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe; HomeTrust does not store full payment card numbers.
Usage and device information. Log data, IP address, browser/device type, pages visited, and similar analytics collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies (Section 4).
Communications. Records of your communications with HomeTrust support, including support tickets and feedback you submit.
We use the information above to:
We do not use your home address or other home-specific data to train third-party advertising profiles, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
With Businesses (as a Homeowner). When you submit a quote request, message a Business, or schedule an appointment, we share the information necessary for that Business to respond — such as your name, contact information, project details, and relevant address information. By design, a Business's customer-management view of you does not include your full home profile or address history beyond what is necessary for the specific request or job — see the product's CRM detail page, which intentionally excludes home data not tied to an active or completed request.
With Homeowners (as a Business). Your public profile (business name, services, service area, pricing information you choose to display, Trust Score, verification indicators, reviews) is visible to Homeowners browsing the Platform.
Service providers. We share information with vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting (Vercel), database and backend infrastructure (Supabase), email delivery, and payment processing — under contracts limiting their use of the information to providing those services.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information where required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where we believe in good faith it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of HomeTrust, our users, or the public.
Business transfers. If HomeTrust is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or a successor policy.
With your consent. We share information for other purposes only with your consent.
We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. To the extent a "sale" or "sharing" is broadly defined under applicable state law to include certain analytics or advertising integrations, we will disclose that here and provide the required opt-out.
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your language preference, and understand how the Platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect Platform functionality.
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by data type — for example, transactional and billing records are retained longer than routine usage logs to meet tax and accounting requirements.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security on our database. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information you transmit to us.
The Platform is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact support@hometrust.app and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
HomeTrust supports English and Spanish. We will send transactional communications in the language associated with your account where available. This Policy is published in both languages; the English version controls in the event of a conflict, unless prohibited by applicable law.
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy with a new "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
